THE 20TH EDITION OF THIS ICONIC EVENT PROMISES TO BE ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS ON THE WORLD’S SPORTING CALENDAR.

First staged in Florida in 1990, the event was named after club manufacturer Karsten Solheim, who together with his wife Louise, was the driving force behind its inception. The Solheim Cup is fiercely contested biannually between Europe and USA, with teams of 12 players going head to head over three passionate days of competition.

It follows the same format as The Ryder Cup, with 28 matches - eight foursomes and eight fourballs over the first two days and 12 singles on the final day.

In 2026, the Netherlands are set to host the Solheim Cup for the first time at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt - known for hosting the Dutch Open on the DP World Tour in 2021 and 2022.

The event is not only about the world-class competition on the course, but promises to be a festival of entertainment, activity and fun, with something for everyone.
