ANGEL YIN AND JENNIFER KUPCHO CLINCH U.S. TEAM SPOTS

Angel Yin and Jennifer Kupcho have clinched their spot on the 2026 U.S. Solheim Cup Team following the conclusion of the AIG Women’s Open.

A three-time participant, Yin will be making her fourth appearance representing the United States in the Solheim Cup. She was a captain’s pick in both 2017 and 2023 and qualified via the Rolex Rankings in 2019. This is the first time she has qualified through the points standings.

Yin has an overall record of 5-3-1 across the six four-ball and three singles matches she has played in. Along with the

now retired Ally Ewing, Yin and her added themselves to the history books in 2019 when they defeated Anna Nordqvist

and Caroline Hedwall in one of the largest margins of victory in a four-ball match, 7 and 5.

Since the 2024 FM Championship, Yin picked up one win at the Honda LPGA Thailand and 13 top-10 finishes.

The second player to clinch a spot is Kupcho, who has been a member of every U.S. Solheim Cup Team since 2021. The

Coloradan has played in eight matches – across four-ball, foursomes and singles – and has an overall record of 3-4-1.

Kupcho previously qualified for the biennial competition twice before including 2021 (Rolex Rankings) and 2023 (points

standings) and was a captain’s pick in the last edition. A rookie on the team in 2021, she led the Americans with 2.5

points.

She has one win at the ShopRite LPGA powered by Wakefern in 2025 and eight top-10 finishes since the beginning of the

Qualifying Period.

The Qualifying Period for the 2026 U.S. Solheim Cup Team concludes following the 2026 CPKC Women’s Open. There are

four spots remaining for players to qualify via the U.S. Solheim Cup points standings now that Nelly Korda, Yin and

Kupcho have clinched their spots. They will be joined by the top two players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings

who are not already qualified and three captain’s picks.
